Junior Coaching Classes

I run junior tennis lessons at the courts in Royal School Dungannon and in the sports hall at Dungannon Primary School. The junior tennis lessons are designed to give your child an introduction to the wonderful game of tennis. Furthermore they are an opportunity to have fun and meet a few new friends.

It has been said that tennis is a game for life so the focus of my lessons are to create a fun learning environment that will ignite a passion for tennis within everyone who attends.

Times and venues for all of the junior tennis lessons are listed below. Places are limited in each class so you will need to check availability.

Primary 1 – Primary 3

Monday – 5:30pm-6pm – Dungannon Primary School (£3)

Saturday – 2:30pm-3pm – Royal School Dungannon (£3)

Players in my youngest age group (Primary 1 – Primary 3) mostly work on their coordination, balance and racket control. Lessons are filled with lots of games such as ‘Rainbow’ and ‘Speed Racers’. Rackets are provided for everyone who attends so no need to rush out and buy one.

If you would like to book into a lesson please use the button at the bottom of the page.

Primary 4 – Primary 7

Monday – 6pm-7pm – Dungannon Primary School (£5)

Saturday – 3pm-4pm – Royal School Dungannon (£5)

Players in my middle age group (Primary 4- Primary 7) are taught pre-dominantly through fun-filled games such as ‘Jail’ and ‘Champion’. These games create a fun and relaxed atmosphere that helps the kids practice what they have been taught in a pressure free environment. Rackets are provided for everyone who attends.

Adult Coaching Classes

Adult tennis lessons take place on the courts at Royal School Dungannon (RSD) on a Saturday reign.

If you are looking for beginner tennis lessons, or if you are looking for something more advanced, then there is a lesson for you.

Beginner Tennis Lesson (£5 per class)

My beginners class is designed for complete beginners or people who maybe haven’t played in a long time. The class is designed to teach you the basics for all tennis shots from the forehand to the second serve. It is also a chance to meet some new friends and have a bit of a laugh (good craic guaranteed). If you would like to start attending then please click the button at the bottom of this page to introduce yourself.

Saturday – 11am-12pm – Royal School Dungannon – Mixed

If you have played a bit of tennis before and you fancy a bit of competitive match play and drills then the advanced adult tennis class is for you. As well as some match practice you can also expect to learn how to correctly hit some of the most difficult shots such as the kick serve and the through the legs lob return (it’s called a tweener).
